An earth sign of fixed quality, Taurus represents stability, loyalty, steady effort and a love of beauty. Its ruler is Venus. The search for security and continuity stands out; flexibility towards change is seen as an area for growth.
General traits
Taurus is the earth sign at the most fertile point of spring, and its fixed quality makes it one of the steadiest signs of the zodiac. Its ruler Venus stands for beauty, harmony, pleasure and a sense of value. The Moon is considered exalted in Taurus, adding a longing for emotional security and calm.
People with strong Taurus energy are usually calm, patient and determined. They value concrete results, tangible worth and a secure routine. Once they start something they move slowly but surely and rarely give up. They enjoy everything that pleases the five senses: good food, music, nature and comfort. Traditional readings describe the growth areas of Taurus as flexibility towards change, balancing possessiveness and stepping outside the comfort zone.

In traditional astrology Taurus is linked with the neck and throat. Staying active and balancing pleasure with moderation is recommended. This is a traditional association, not medical information.
