At Life Code — Yaşam Kodu ("Life Code") we care about protecting your personal data. As data controller, this notice explains how we process your personal data under Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK") and, for visitors in the European Union / EEA, the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").

2. Personal data we process
- Identity data: first name, last name, middle name, date of birth, gender; for relationship compatibility and baby name services, the details of the second person or the parents that you provide.
- Contact data: email address, phone number.
- Application and correspondence content: notes and messages you write in our forms.
- Free "What kind of person are you?" analysis: your answers are evaluated only in your browser. If you choose "Contact me" at the end, your name, contact details, result and the services you are interested in are saved with your explicit consent and used to get back to you.
- Photos (special category data): photos you send for hand, face and foot analysis may qualify as biometric data. Health-related comments based on these photos are also considered health data.
- Payment data: amount paid, payment method, date and transaction number.
- Security data: IP address, date and time, and browser information, used to prevent abuse and unwanted submissions.
3. Purposes of processing
- Preparing and delivering the analysis and report you have chosen
- Contacting you about your application or message
- Handling payment and delivery; showing your application status and report on your personal customer page
- If you left your email address in the free analysis, sending at most two informational emails about your result (you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in each email)
- Keeping the site and forms secure and preventing abuse
- Complying with legal obligations and protecting rights in possible disputes
4. Legal bases
Your personal data is processed on the following bases (KVKK Art. 5; for EU/EEA visitors, GDPR Art. 6(1)):
- entering into or performing a contract (KVKK 5/2-c; GDPR 6(1)(b)),
- compliance with legal obligations (KVKK 5/2-ç; GDPR 6(1)(c)),
- establishing, exercising or defending a right (KVKK 5/2-e),
- our legitimate interest, provided it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms (KVKK 5/2-f; GDPR 6(1)(f)); site security falls under this.
Your photos and the health comments based on them are special category personal data. They are processed only on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give separately in the form (KVKK Art. 6; GDPR Art. 9(2)(a)). Follow-up emails after the free analysis are sent on the basis of the consent you gave when leaving your email address.
5. How we collect data
Your data is collected electronically through the application and contact forms on the site, email and WhatsApp correspondence.
6. Transfers
Your data is not sold to third parties or shared for marketing purposes. To provide the service we only use the following service providers:
- hosting (GoDaddy),
- content delivery and security (Cloudflare),
- sending emails (FormSubmit and our email provider),
- AI-assisted preliminary review (Anthropic): preliminary review of hand, face and foot photos and drafts of report comments. Your contact details are not sent for report drafts; AI results are checked by our expert before being used in a report.
The servers of these providers may be located abroad. Such transfers are carried out in accordance with Article 9 KVKK and, for EU/EEA data, with appropriate safeguards under Chapter V GDPR (e.g. standard contractual clauses). Where legally required, your data may be shared with competent public authorities.
If you choose to write to us via WhatsApp, WhatsApp's (Meta) own privacy terms also apply to that conversation.
7. Retention and security
Your data is kept for as long as the purpose of processing requires and for the retention periods set by law; afterwards it is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
Photos are stored as follows:
- Location and device (EXIF) data is removed on upload.
- They are kept in an area that cannot be accessed directly from the internet.
- Only our authorised experts can see them.
- After your report is delivered, they are permanently deleted whenever you ask.
The site is encrypted with HTTPS; only authorised persons can access the management panel.
8. Your rights
- To learn whether your personal data is processed and, if so, to request information about it
- To learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly
- To know the third parties to whom it is transferred in Türkiye or abroad
- To request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate
- To request deletion or destruction under the conditions of Article 7 KVKK (GDPR Art. 17)
- To request that correction, deletion and destruction be notified to third parties to whom the data was transferred
- To object to a result against you arising solely from automated analysis
- To claim compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing
- For EU/EEA visitors additionally: restriction of processing, data portability (GDPR Art. 18, 20) and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority
You may withdraw your explicit consent at any time; in that case your photos are deleted.
9. How to apply
You can send requests regarding your rights to [email protected] with information that allows us to verify your identity. Requests are answered free of charge within 30 days at the latest.
10. Children's data
For services related to children, such as baby name suggestions, the information is shared by a parent or legal guardian. Applications on behalf of persons under 18 must be made by their parents or legal guardians.
11. Changes
This notice may be updated when necessary. The current version is always published on this page. For details on cookies, see the Cookie Policy.
