9 is the last number in numerology. After it comes 1 (10 = 1 + 0 = 1). So 9 is the end of a cycle, the completion of a spiritual level.
9 represents mercy, compassion, service, love of humanity, wholeness and oneness with the Creator.
Nine-year cycles
The number 9 expresses a complete spiritual cycle. Every 9 years we complete a cycle:
- Cycle 1: from age 1 to 9
- Cycle 2: from age 9 to 18
- Cycle 3: from age 18 to 27
- Cycle 4: from age 27 to 36
These first four periods (36 years) are the learning years in which we build the foundations of our lives and develop our beliefs. Decisions made in this time usually shape the rest of our lives. Then, with the knowledge and experience gathered, the cycles begin to repeat and a second new life begins. The cycle repeats itself every 9 years.
The number that contains all numbers
If we add all the numbers from 1 to 8, we reach 9:
1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 = 45 → 4 + 5 = 9
